Our January SMS:HUB session started the year on a real high — full of energy, creativity, and connection. After the holidays, it was wonderful to see everyone logging back on, sharing stories, and settling into that familiar buzz that always fills the HUB. This month, the young people chose a theme that set the tone perfectly: music and rhythm.
And what a big hit it was. From the moment the session began, everyone was ready to jump in — experimenting with different sounds, beats, and movements. Laughter echoed through the screen as rhythms built, ideas bounced around, and confidence grew. One of the standout moments came when the group grabbed their egg shakers and danced along to a video. There were brilliant dance moves, bursts of laughter, and a sense of shared joy that filled the virtual room. It was one of those beautiful SMS:HUB moments where young people could simply be themselves — no pressure, no overthinking — just fun, freedom, and connection.
Eilidh Findlay, Coordinator with Children’s Health Scotland, said:
There was such a brilliant energy in the HUB this month. The young people brought the rhythm, the creativity, and the fun — and watching them encourage each other and build confidence with every beat was inspiring. Sessions like this show exactly why the HUB matters.
Music has a way of bringing people together, and in January, it helped us all find our rhythm for the year ahead. We can’t wait to see where the next beat takes us.
