The ALLIANCE has submitted a parallel report to the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights for its examination of rights in the UK. Children’s Health Scotland is a member of the ALLIANCE, and thanks to contributions from its members and partners, the report covers a range of issues related to economic, social and cultural rights.
The report highlights broad issues of concern about incorporation, SNAP 2, human rights monitoring, and the devastating impact of budget cuts on disabled people, people with long-term conditions, unpaid carers, and the third sector. The submission also focuses on social care, social security, the right to an adequate standard of living, mental health, COVID-19, women’s health, and the rights of people with learning disabilities.
