Bishopbriggs Academy has gone the extra mile—literally—to support Children’s Health Scotland, raising an incredible £8,342.86 through their participation in the Kiltwalk. With determination, community spirit, and plenty of tartan, pupils, staff, and families came together to make every step count, ensuring children and young people living with long-term health conditions receive the support and advocacy they deserve.
The students, staff, and community of Bishopbriggs Academy have shown exceptional dedication and compassion in their fundraising efforts. This outstanding achievement reflects the incredible dedication of the students, whose collective effort will make a profound difference in the lives of children and young people living with long-term health conditions across Scotland.
The incredible funds were raised by 154 pupils and staff from Bishopbriggs Academy, who enthusiastically took on the Big Stroll at the Kiltwalk. Their dedication made this year’s event the biggest yet for both the school and Children’s Health Scotland. The sight of so many individuals walking together in support of children’s health and wellbeing was truly inspiring, showcasing the strength of community spirit and the impact of collective action.
One of the teachers at Bishopbriggs Academy shared their excitement: “We are absolutely thrilled that the pupils chose Children’s Health Scotland as the charity to support. Their passion and commitment to making a difference in the lives of children who are living with health conditions is truly commendable. It’s wonderful to see them take such initiative and work together for a cause they believe in.”
Helen Forrest, Chief Executive of Children’s Health Scotland said: “We are incredibly impressed and deeply grateful for the support from Bishopbriggs Academy.
