Health Rights Defender Award

Through this award we want to recognise a child or young person who has shown a commitment to promoting, protecting or advancing the rights of children and young people. We are looking for a young person who has used their voice, shared their experiences, supported others, influenced change or helped raise awareness of children’s rights within their school, community or healthcare setting.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are seeking a child or young person who has made a positive impact by speaking up for children’s rights and helping ensure the voices of children and young people are heard.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a child or young person who has:

Helped raise awareness of children’s rights, health rights or participation rights.
Used their voice and lived experience to help improve services, policies or support for children and young people.
Encouraged other children and young people to share their views and be involved in decisions that affect them.
Demonstrated leadership, confidence and a commitment to creating positive change for children and young people.
