Children’s Health Scotland is recruiting a Programme and Engagement Coordinator (Children and Young People) to help deliver life-changing programmes, activities and events across Scotland.

This exciting role will support the delivery of Children’s Health Scotland’s Self-Management Skills Programmes, Health Rights Defenders, SMS:HUB activities, family events and participation opportunities. Working directly with children, young people and families, you’ll help create safe, engaging and enjoyable experiences that improve wellbeing, build resilience and support children to understand their rights.
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, creative and motivated, with experience working with children and young people. Whether you’re a teacher, health play specialist, youth worker, family support worker or have experience in a similar role, this could be the perfect opportunity to make a real difference.
Based at our headquarters in Stirling, this hands-on role includes regular travel across Scotland to deliver programmes, workshops, training and events. No two days are the same. One week could involve supporting children through our Self-Management Skills Programmes, while the next might include delivering Health Rights Defenders activities, running participation events or working with families and partners in local communities.
The successful candidate will join a friendly and passionate team committed to ensuring every child and young person has access to the support, information and opportunities they need to achieve their best possible health.
Key Information
- Post: Programme and Engagement Coordinator (Children and Young People)
- Hours: 28 hours per week
- Salary: SCP 21-23 (£31,005 – £32,409 per annum, pro rata)
- Location: Stirling, with travel throughout Scotland
- Contract: This position is fixed-term until 31 March 2027 and subject to the successful completion of a 6-month probation period. Children’s Health Scotland has a strong track record of securing funding, and it is hoped the post will continue beyond this date, subject to funding availability.
