Children’s Health Scotland is encouraging people to nominate them for a chance to win one of ten £5,000 special grants as part of Benefact Group’s Movement for Good Awards, which is giving over £1million away to charities for the fifth year running.
It’s quick and easy to nominate Children’s Health Scotland online. Nominations for the health charity special grants are open from Monday 15 May to Friday 19 May and you can vote for Children’s Health Scotland online at health.movementforgood.com
Winners will be drawn at random and the more times Children’s Health Scotland is nominated the more chance it has of being selected.
If Children’s Health Scotland won, we would be able to use the £5,000 in our CYP Health and Wellbeing Services. This includes running our Self-Management Skills programmes, which directly help children and young people with health conditions to manage their health and wellbeing. £5,000 would contribute to the cost of relaxations toys, craft materials, resources and packs given to every young people we work with.
Children’s Health Scotland is encouraging everyone to use their social media channels to ask people to vote for them to give the charity the best possible chance of winning.
Helen Forrest, Chief Executive of Children’s Health Scotland, said: “The health and wellbeing of children and young people lie at the heart of our work, especially those experiencing long-term health conditions. As a well-established charity, I am proud of the services Children’s Health Scotland provides to children and young people, their parents, carers and health professionals. We are incredibly grateful for all help we receive as it allows us to continue informing, promoting, and campaigning on behalf of the needs of all children and young people at times of illness.”
Mark Hews, Group Chief Executive of Benefact Group, says: “Through our Movement for Good Awards special grants we’re encouraging everyone to nominate a health charity. Benefact Group is the third largest corporate donor in the UK and has an ambition to be the biggest. Owned by a charity, all of its available profits go to good causes, and the more the Group grows, the more the Group can give. Our Movement for Good Awards will continue to help charities change lives for the better and we know that for many health charities, £5,000 can make a real difference.”
