Welcome to Day 21 of Bear’s Advent Calendar! Are you ready to #ShareWithBear?
For Day 21, Bear wanted to tell everyone about something very important. Throughout all of our services here at Children’s Health Scotland, we talk a lot about the importance of self-care through stress management and relaxation strategies. Examples of this include going for a walk, blowing bubbles, talking to a friend, writing down your thoughts, listening to music, playing with your friends or petting your dog.
Bear knows that self-care is very important: “Here I am doing some yoga, chatting to my friend Sven, practising mindfulness, and telling myself some positive affirmations in the mirror!
I am capable, I am caring, I am a good friend, I am kind, I am strong, I am important, I am fearless, I am powerful, I am valuable!
I love going outside for a walk in the fresh air! I love looking at all the nature around me and how calm it is.”
