Children’s Health Scotland is delighted to be announced as a finalist in the Voluntary Health Scotland (VHS) Annual Conference 2019 Poster Competition.
Our Development Officer, Anne Wilson, blogs about the POSTER that we will be displaying at their conference on 17 September 2019. She said: “Here at Children’s Health Scotland children and young people’s (CYP) health rights underpin all our work – services, activities and publications. In particular, our work is based on the 10 standards (or rights for CYP healthcare) of the European Association for Children in Hospital (EACH) charter which in turn is underpinned by the UNCRC articles.
“We have developed our e-Learning resource, Children and Young People’s Health Rights to assist practitioners to pursue a rights-based approach in line with UNCRC principles. The resource is aimed at all health and social care practitioners who come into contact with CYP when providing healthcare services (whether in hospital, in the community or at home). This includes independent practitioners and third sector providers.”
