It’s the final call for nominations for the Scottish Children’s Health Awards 2026 — a special opportunity to recognise the remarkable people and projects transforming children and young people’s health and wellbeing across Scotland. Nominations close at 5.00pm on Tuesday 30 June 2026.
These unique and prestigious Teddy Awards celebrate extraordinary care, compassion and creativity, with winners invited to a truly memorable experience — a celebratory lunch at The Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh, shared with fellow winners and hosted by journalist and TV presenter Laura Boyd. With nominations closing soon, now is the time to shine a spotlight on those who go above and beyond every day to make a real difference.
Commenting on the awards, Helen Forrest, Chief Executive of Children’s Health Scotland said:
Every year, we are inspired by the stories we hear — of children showing incredible courage, and of the people and teams who support them with such compassion and dedication. These awards are about recognising those moments and making sure they are seen, valued and celebrated.
Recognising those who make a difference
Children’s Health Scotland is inviting nominations from across the country, encouraging people to highlight the individuals, teams and services making a meaningful impact. Whether it’s a service using play to support recovery, a team improving everyday experiences for families, or a professional or carer going above and beyond, these awards celebrate everyone who plays a part in improving the lives of children and young people. As one previous award winner said:
Being recognised with a Teddy Award meant so much to us. It gave us a chance to reflect on the difference we make and to celebrate alongside others who care deeply about children and families. These aren’t awards you can simply buy off the shelf — each one is specially created for the Scottish Children’s Health Awards — and it made the day feel even more meaningful. It was a really special experience we’ll never forget.
