Dennis Hopkins, Headteacher at St Bridget’s Primary School wins Children’s Choice Award
The Children’s Choice Award gives the opportunity for a young person to say “thank you” to someone special in their life; someone who has made a difference to their world. Dennis Hopkins, Headteacher at St Bridget’s Primary School in Kilbirnie, is this year’s winner after a pupil, undergoing cancer treatment, nominated him.

We are seeking very special people (or teams) who have made or are making the difference to the lives of children. We are also seeking children who have shown strength and determination and kept going with their treatment, when it might have been so much easier to give up.
Nominate today and recognise someone special who has made a difference to the life of a child
Nominations have opened for the Scottish Children’s Health Awards which have been created to celebrate those who are making a difference to the health and wellbeing of children and young people in Scotland. Six specific award categories have been announced and nominations can be made until 5:00pm on 12 July 2020.
