Children’s Health Scotland is urging people across the country to take a moment to recognise those who make a real difference to children and young people’s health and wellbeing, as nominations for the Scottish Children’s Health Awards 2026 close on Tuesday 30 June.
The awards celebrate the people, teams and services who create meaningful change—often through everyday acts of care, kindness and support that can have a lasting impact on a child’s life. From helping a child feel heard, to improving experiences in healthcare, to going above and beyond when it matters most, the awards shine a light on the moments that matter.
Helen Forrest, Chief Executive of Children’s Health Scotland, said:
Every year, we hear powerful stories about the difference people make to children and young people’s lives. Often, it’s not one big moment—it’s the everyday moments where someone listens, shows kindness, or makes a child feel safe and supported. The Scottish Children’s Health Awards are about recognising those moments that matter and the people behind them. If someone has made a difference to a child’s health or wellbeing, we want to hear that story. It only takes a few minutes to nominate, but that recognition can mean so much—to individuals, to teams, and to the children and families they support.
Nominations are free, open to individuals, professionals, carers, teams and services across Scotland, and take just a few minutes to complete.
Winners will receive a bespoke Teddy Award and be invited to a special celebration, Bear’s Tea Party, at the iconic Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh this August.
